Common name: Giant rat of Tenerife

Scientific name: Canariomys bravoi

Place: Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain

Habitat: caves or volcanic tubes.

Characteristics: 7 cm length (like a rabbit).

Nutrition: Herbivore

Cause of extinction: Human activities: hunting and introduction of exotic species
